This policy explains how Oros Accountancy Ltd ("Oros", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit this website, contact us or use our accountancy services. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
Oros Accountancy Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 17544061. Registered office: 196 Forest Edge, Buckhurst Hill, Essex, IG9 5AE. Email: contact@orosaccountancy.co.uk.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
We only share data where needed to deliver our services or where the law requires it. This includes HMRC, Companies House and other authorities; software providers we use to deliver our service, such as Xero; our website host (Webflow); our payment provider (Stripe); email and document storage providers; and professional advisers or insurers where necessary. These providers act on our instructions or under their own data protection obligations. Some may process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.
We keep client records for as long as you are a client and then for six years after the end of our engagement, which is the usual period needed for tax and legal purposes. Enquiries that do not become engagements are kept for up to 12 months. We then delete or anonymise the data securely.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including access controls, secure cloud software and encrypted connections. No system is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information by unsecured means.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your personal data, correct it, ask us to erase it (subject to our legal record-keeping duties), restrict or object to processing, and ask for a copy of your data in a portable format. To use any of these rights, email contact@orosaccountancy.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our host may set essential cookies needed to deliver and secure the site.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date above.
