Terms of service

These terms apply to the services provided by Oros Accountancy Ltd (company number 17544061, registered office 196 Forest Edge, Buckhurst Hill, Essex, IG9 5AE) and to your use of this website. When you become a client we will also send you an engagement letter confirming the services you have chosen. If the engagement letter and these terms conflict, the engagement letter applies.

Our services

We provide bookkeeping, annual accounts, corporation tax, VAT and self assessment services for small limited companies, freelancers, landlords and sole traders, as described on our website and in your engagement letter. Each monthly plan covers the services listed for that plan. Xero Lite is included where stated. We do not provide audit, insolvency or regulated financial advice, and nothing on this website is financial or investment advice.

Fees and payment

• Our services are charged at a fixed monthly fee for the plan you choose. We do not bill by the hour.
• Fees are payable monthly in advance by the payment method we agree with you.
• Work outside your plan, such as catching up on previous years or dealing with an HMRC enquiry, will only be done after we agree a separate fee with you in writing.
• Fees may change. We will give you at least 30 days' written notice before any change takes effect.
• If a payment is late we may pause work until the account is up to date.

No contract, cancel anytime

There is no minimum term. You can cancel at any time by emailing contact@orosaccountancy.co.uk. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month in which you give notice, and fees already paid for that month are not refunded. We may also end our services by giving you reasonable written notice, or immediately if you do not pay, or if we are required to do so by law or professional rules.

Your responsibilities

• Give us complete, accurate and timely information and records, and tell us promptly about any changes.
• Respond to our queries and approve filings before their deadlines. We cannot be responsible for penalties or interest that arise because information reached us late or was incomplete.
• Remain responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us and for the decisions you make about your business.
• Complete identity checks. We are required by law to carry out anti-money laundering checks before and during our work.

Confidentiality and data protection

We keep your information confidential and only disclose it where you permit, or where the law or our professional obligations require, for example to HMRC, Companies House or a regulator. We process personal data as described in our Privacy policy.

Our liability

We will carry out our work with reasonable skill and care. We are not liable for losses caused by inaccurate or incomplete information supplied to us, or by delays outside our control. Subject to the next sentence, our total liability to you for any claim relating to our services is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.

Intellectual property

The content and branding of this website belong to Oros Accountancy Ltd. Your records and business information remain yours.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with our service, please email contact@orosaccountancy.co.uk and we will aim to respond within 14 days.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, and we will notify clients of material changes.
